    Got one interesting bite on my question so far:

    I'm quite enjoying re-living my BBC micro Basic days with RT Russell's
    BBC Basic emulator for the PC. I don't think there's a printed manual,
    and the free version is limited in program size. See

    But you seem to be getting some pretty good advice now from Frank Reed
    and Chuck Taylor and others.
