The wrinkle of course is that distance measurement on inland lakes and
waterways, including the Great Lakes, is done in statute miles. Arghh!! I
would always work in nautical miles for 60D = st purposes and overall
consistency, but if I ever had to voice a distance over VHF or in a report,
I would be careful to say "nautical miles".
And then there is that damned Sea-Doo with its speedometer in mi/h. More
Arghh!!
