This is guessing, but one part of the Gregorian calendar is to always
have the vernal equinox on March 21, and the fall equinox around Sept
21. The summer is about 93 days long and the winter about 87 days
long, so it's not as easy as dividing the number of days in a year by
12; there has to be a method of shortening the winter months and
lengthening the summer months. Hopefully, somebody who actually knows
will answer.
