    That's a nice formula. If I recall the thread, drop in barometric pressure
    with increase in altitude is not linear. Purdue's Dr. Carney gave me the
    rule of thumb (for low elevation) of 1" per 1000 feet, or local pressure =
    reported (corrected to sea level) pressure - (.0011 * elevation in feet).
    Which is linear. Big difference between the two formulas when the elevation
    gets into miles.
