Jim, I'm afraid that giving bearings "by the clock" is going to fall by the
wayside. Kids now entering college have usually learned time in school by
digital clocks and digital wristwatches. If you tell them "it's at two
oclock" they actually stop and calculate. Or just stop. Personally I still
prefer an analog clock and watch for many reasons, but it is becoming the
arcane tool.
