    I think all of your points are valid, but here's the catch as I see it, the
    cylinder or domino method (for front silvered mirrors) works equally well for
    rear silvered mirrors. Not so the other way around (using the arc). So if you
    are not sure you can use the cylinder method and still know that you have got
    it right.
