available observations in the CLIWOC database for the period 1750-1854,
thereby indicating global "western nation" shipping routes and ship traffic
volumes of the era:

There are many maps on the site, showing all kinds of information about
winds and routes. It is fascinating to study them and think about the way
navigation was done in that period.
