Regarding this question of a one-day error in predictions in the Online
Nautical Almanac for dates prior to 28 Feb 1800 (discovered by Mike
Burkes), I've had a helpful and friendly response from Omar Reis (at
, in Brazil).
Omar has been a list-member but currently doesn't subscribe, though he
probes into its archives from time to time.
He is investigating the problem further, and hopes to correct it or at the
very least to post a warning if users stray into error-prone dates. He will
let me know when this has been done, and I will pass it on.
