For those Nav-l members who find lunar distances a complete turn-off, they
should delete this message and the accompanying one, "About Lunars, Part
4b", straightaway.
For any others, I have amended my earlier posting of about a year ago,
"About Lunars, Part 4b", to reflect my altered views about the effects of
parallactic retardation, which, I'm all too aware, haven't met with
unanimous approval from this list recently. The changes are entirely in
section 4.4b, which replaces 4.4a. I have received some counter-arguments,
but am as yet unconvinced. However, my mind is still open.
In a few days, I will ask Arthur Pearson to post up a pointer on his
website, <www.lunardistance.com>, to replace the existing pointer to part
4a, but before doing so, I'll wait for any comments and criticisms and
picking-out of errors, from the list. I am aware that some listmembers may
feel that they have had a bellyful of lunar stuff recently, so feel free to
pass on any views, either to the list, or off-list directly to me,
whichever you think is appropriate.
George.
