    Murray,
    Do not remove the arm from the frame. Instead, place the arm at about 115
    deg on the scale. Then remove the lower of the 3 screws that hold the index
    mirror on the arm. A small screwdriver may be inserted through the screw
    hole to engage the screw holding the handle. You won't be able to exert
    much torque, but it will tighten the screw enough.
