I believe Doug every word and I like the pitch of the professional self-confidence, as I envy him his job.
But to the Jared's description I would add my own experience. At the unnamed sea on board ship of the unnamed company, I penetrated to the bridge in early morning hours. After some friendly discussion with the mate, I was allowed to steer manually the ferry boat with some 1000 passengers and 300 cars under the deck for ten minutes. Not in confined and frequented waters, I must say. I thank that mate for it now and here.
I readily admit that my and Doug's statements are not contradictory.
