and I like the phrasing of his remarks very much. Nevertheless, I think I
will change part of my standard orders from "report anything moving, unless
obviously harmless" to "report anything moving [unless...], and scare away
any yachts that try to cross the log line". Standard equipment to effect
the last part is the fog horn and some not very diplomatic words, and as a
last resort the log line must me taken on board (with the possible
inconvenience of tangling it up because it was taken in improperly).
