Bruce,
I got two good sets of observations and have simply been too busy
catching up on work to write them up properly. I will do so over the
weekend at the latest, I am eager to share my experience. Suffice it to
say that my respect for the old navigators is redoubled and I had a
marvelous time tagging along in their wake. Thanks for the spur to get
the results posted.
Regards,
Arthur

Subject: Arthur in the Grenadines
Arthur Pearson was expecting to be cruising the Grenadines this month,
and
taking some lunars.
No more time than he'd have to get used to the motion of the boat, seems
to
me he'd be lucky to get reasonable altitudes, let alone lunars. My
notion is,
you must be well adapted to the motion and, after that, get plenty of
practice, before you can expect to get trustworthy lunars from a small
boat.
Arthur's experience may prove me wrong. But whatever his experience, I
hope
he'll fill us in.
