I think this is a good insight into proper usage. A person's name does
not usually include "the" before it.
This also applies to Apple's Macintosh computer. Many magazines get it
wrong, but since 1984 Apple referred to it by name, the startup screen
simply said "Welcome to Macintosh", and so forth.
