I appreciated your comments a while back on the 1966 Ed.. To the point that I went out and bought myself a copy! It's still in the mail, so I am yet to confirm it as "favourite".
Also appreciated your notes on the history of the astro compass.

Oh ya, by the way, reason number 37 why the 1966 reprint of the 1962 Bowditch is my favourite: it has a nice illustration and description of the astrocompass on page 626.
