Autohelms can do this - they can steer with an accuracy that seems beyond
any mortal. We have found the best way to steer downwind flying a
spinnaker, or with the headsail out on the end of a whisker pole on the
side opposite the main (goosewinged) is with one person not at the helm but
with a finger poised over the unit feeding in one degree correction changes
as necessary.
