If you are on an aircraft carrier, the 6x30 would be great. If you are
on a yacht affordable to most of us you can't usually hold it steady
enough for 6x to help.

I can imagine a scope with image stabilization, like the Canon
binoculars I once got to look through (drool) but I don't think that is
currently available.
