I would argue that the problem is not sufficiently well specified.

Is TC=YYY merely the initial course for a Great Circle trip during
which the course will generally vary as the trip progresses. Or is TC
to remain constant for the whole trip, i.e. a rhumb line course? Or
something else altogether?
