If you are interested, I'll send along instructions from one of the old
manuals explaining how to adjust that inverting 'scope. I think it would be
interesting make use of it.
Just a wild guess, but I have the notion inverting 'scopes went out of
fashion around WW I, shortly after lunar distances were dropped from the
Almanac. Seems like those full view horizon mirrors didn't appear until the
last half of the twentieth century. Does anyone know?
