Aubrey,

I was listing navigational instruments, not the complete outfit of gear
on board. As to anchoring in fog: Sure it is a good idea but, along the
coast of Nova Scotia, it's been known for the fog to clamp down in May
and not lift until August. I'll spend time swinging around an anchor
when I have to but once the food and water run out, I'd rather weigh and
go in search of more!
