Would like to extend a general welcome to all those who have recently
stuck their heads above the surface.
There is a wealth of experience and knowledge among the readers of this
list. They seem generally ready to be very helpful in sharing their
expertise.
On the associated website http://www.wa6pby.com/ are all manner of
useful links. Among them you will find the archives of this list, also
the 'Silicon Sea' series, practical problems in navigation to be worked
out that will gradually take you right around the world - when you get
back you'll have the experience of a (virtual) navigational
circumnavigation under your belts!
