Well, as a finale to this evening's nautical entertainment
and in the spirit of broadening the scope of this list as
  Herbert suggested above, here is a pome I wrote
  today:

The Seafarer's Tale

There is a cold wind blows tonight
  a hint of snow in the pale Moonlight
A glittering frost upon the ground
A brilliance on the shimmering sound.

The moaning wind bangs on the gate
The fire is roaring in the grate
Beyond the cliff the boat rides anchored in the roads
Bare poles and rigging tapping in the blow
It's time to put on gear and go.
