Welcome to the Navigation-L archive files.

The files here are for you to download. Some are freeware, Demos, or
shareware. There may be some that no longer are supported. From time to time
other navigation programs and files will be added. The intent is to provide
files useful to Navigation-L subscribers.

FILES
4mulas.zip -- A pair of files with valuable Celestial Navigation and Dead
Reckoning formulas and information.
dma5090.jpg -- Full size image of the NIMA Manuvering Board DMA 5090 plotting
sheet. This is now out of print.
geomag.zip -- is a magnetic variation determination program. No instructions
are
available. The file was furnished by USGS.
nautical.zip -- An Astronavigation program complete with built in almanac
from 1950-2050. Includes a Time/Distance table combined with
Mid-Latitude Sailing. Has star and world ports graphics.
navig94.zip -- Sight Reduction and Fix, (SRF): HO 211, HO 229, N. A. Consise
Tables, USPS Calculation, and Ageton/Bayless Methods.
Precision Body Finder(PBF): All bodies precise Hs and Zn.
Sun-Phenomena (SUN): Sunrise, Sunset, & Twilight; Local
Apparent, Noon, Equation-of-Time, Etc. NAVigation-POtpourri:
Dead Reckoning, Rumbline Position (RLP) Rumbline Course &
Distance (RLCD), Great Circle, and more.
pancanal.txt -- A brief description of the procedures and costs to transit
the Panama Canal in a small boat.
posplot.zip -- A program that generates and prints plotting sheets for your
selected latitude (8.5 x 11 inches).
sscharts.zip -- Plotting Sheet size chartletts used in the first 60 Legs of
the Silicon Sea cruise.
ssea_XX.zip -- The archive of Silicon Sea navigation problems. The archive
is
current up to Leg 80.
tvmdc.zip -- A freeware program to correct true course for Variation and
Deviation.
ups.pdf -- A free PDF Universal plotting sheet in 8.5" x 11" format courtesy
of Thomas Reed Publishing.
