Subject: Internet Interuption
From: David E. Gorelick MD (dgorelmd@XXX.XXX)

1. You will all pardon, please , this mass mailing
2. As some may be already aware, the @home internet cable provider has
declared bankruptcy. ATT has offered to buy the system for about 300
Million . But @XXX.XXX two court hearings
and an appeals court decision.......@home is being allowed to cut
service to various cable systems. Today, it severed internet access to
about 500,000 ATT customers.
3. Soooo..... some moment soon I may lose access AND my e-mail account.
PLEASE:
a. If you e-mail me , CC: a copy to : dgorelmd@XXX.XXX
I will be able to access my web mail from work or anywhere else.
Also: note the Verisign certificates are e-mail dependent. If you
are a patient or other who is sending me encrypted e-mail; or if I have
been sending you encrypted items like lab results or medical
instructions, I will have to halt the practice once my @home address is
nonfunctional . I will obtain encryption capabilities ASAP and inform
you then.
Your cooperation is appreciated.
