indirectly you have guided me to a link http://mathforum.org/dr.math/problems/neff.04.21.99.html that provide me some good information I am looking for, about sailing calculations on an elliptic Earth, instead on an spherical one, like in great circle calculations.

Has anybody experience in this theme.
