I found it easy to plot my watch's loss or gain for a month, to see if the drift
was linear. I found that it was. If you do this, and find a predictable drift, it
would be easier to simply build that error into your calculations than keep
hassling with adjustments. I would never let the drift get past 20 s or so,
because you can then get confusion on the minute readings. There is
something to be said for keeping the number of adjustments down. I believe
that it may affect the mechanics of any analog movements over time if
adjustments are frequent.

For the record, my Casio gained 13 s in 30 d. My current analog Seiko gains
4 s every 20 d, but I am still checking.
