in the following seminar being put on next week by the Commonwealth Club:

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 12 POLYNESIAN NAVIGATION
Professor Emeritus of Geological and Environmental Sciences at Stanford
University, Ronald J.P. Lyon's talk will approach Polynesian navigation via
the development of ocean-going, double-hulled canoes, such as those used by
the Egyptians.
