You're probably thinking of one of Meeus' books. Willmann-Bell
publishes and sells them:

Astronomical Formulae for Calculators is an old (by computer
standards) classic. Has gone through several editions.
Astronomical Algorithms came along later and is basically a superset
of his earlier book. It includes some more elaborate and accurate
computations more suitable for a computer than a calculator. A second
edition came out in 1999.
WATCH OUT: I've got a first printing of the first edition of
Astronomical Algorithms. It has numerous typos in critical places.
Years ago I saw a list of errata on-line and have made pencil
corrections in my copy.
