No, this could not have happened, as I use a calculator that has the
nautical almanac programmed in. All "reduction" is done in software, and I
have been using this software for years and I have compared it to the
printed almanac and it is in full agreement. We took into account our
height above the water, even measured the temperature and checked the
pressure so as to have a more accurate correction for refraction.

The calculator has a built-in clock and that clock was set to GPS time right
before the sites were taken. The date was certainly correct.

Dear Dan,

Concerning your repeaterd error of 68': might that be a systematic
error in the reduction? E.g., you've opened the almanac on the wrong
page... That's surely not meant as an insult. It happens to us all
once in a while (or am I unique in this respect?)
