Dear Dave,
I have a 18 year old SL windlass that has worked flawlessly (other than
replacing the solinoid) for 18 years. As it has started leaking oil on the
deck and is obviously aged I took a good opportunity when I saw it.
I purchased a new SL windlass following the Dania fleamarket - got it for
considerably less than half their regular price. Their technical support
added a rope clutch to it as part of the deal. My techncial contact there
is Brook at (941) 753-7533.
Anyway, try him and see if your luck at support doesn't get better. He has
been exceptionally helpful with me.
