    Speed (or lack of it) is not the problem. We often connect to AOL's 800
    nnumber at 4800bpm and are happy to get that. Just getting the damn thing to
    work at all is a struggle. "Unlimited" deals are not available once you leave
    your home state. I have $500 of cell phone gear that, since I left Florida,
    costs me about a dollar a minute to use.
