Hi Leann,
Get thee to a library or bookstore. Find and read
"Dragged Aboard, A Cruising Guide for the Reluctant
Mate" by Don Casey (ISBN 393-04653-2). The book
isn't about living aboard in your home port. It deals
with various questions about the cruising lifestyle
and offers lots of material that applies to living aboard
generally. And, as an added bonus, it's very well-written
with liberal doses of laugh-out-loud humour throughout.
In the Forward, Don Casey says he has written the book
he wishes he could have handed to his "reluctant mate"
years ago.
Enjoy, and good luck with your decision.
