    As far as yards go I'd second the recommendation for Svendsens. They are the
    only yard that we recommend to people. Also if you use Sven's there are
    decent facilities you can use if you're staying on the boat. Just get a
    cardkey from the Alameda Marina hm office.
    I would defintely investigate using the barge though. Advantages include
    much less stress on the boat, no need to drop the rig, and no need to deal
    with trucking companies. We have heard some horror stories about people
    having their boat trucked.
