More weird stuff here, my 75 did not initialize on its first attempt,
however the second or third try to initialize during the drive home from
work in the car under the windshield, it locked on after 20 minutes and I
was happy, thinking it was ok now. This is without loading the newer
software patch I had downloaded the other day.
Went sailing when home and zip nada, coul only acquire 3 sats and kept
trying without completing so I initialized once again and after longer than
the stated 20 min. about an hour at least it seemed ok and was navigating.
The only odd thing I moticed was that operation seemed erratic with regards
to speed and course bearing it kept going all over the place.
So i guess next I'l make up the cable and try to upload that software patch
after all.
