    Just follow directions. The patch specifically addressed to the EOW is only to
    set a date and is not necessary in most cases to reacquire the satellites.

    Just reinitialize your unit. It says how on the same listing of products on
    the web page.

    Some older units have software patches to fix various problems, but I don't
    think any are related to the EOW issue.

    I have a 45 (v 2.53) and a 12 as backup, and both are working great. I had to
    reinit the 45 just like it says in the instructions, but the 12 rolled over
    like a champ.
