We just returned from our summer cruise. (Yes school starts this week)
Friends of ours told us of an old trick her mother used in the old privy.
Place a section of newspaper between the lid and the seat. The newspaper
absorbes the odor (I think it is the carbon in the ink). I didn't believe
it but we had everybody in our cruising group looking for old newspaper. It
works!!! Or it did for about 5 of us.

The added bonus is that if the roll is empty.....
