    We are those "people"...#8-) We were 65 miles north east of the eye of the
    huricane which put us smack dab in the dangerous semicircle. This huricane
    was a Catagory 4 but it was very tightly wound so true huricane force winds
    only extended about 50 miles from the center. The worst hit towns were
    very sparsly populated, in ranch country. Had this storm continued
    straight north and hit metropolitan Corpus Christi the damage would have
    been terrible.
