To reconfirm my suspicion that an 8D battery was not a good choice for a
house bank application, had a conversation with a Trojan application
engineer this morning.
My question was, "Do you have an 8D package specifically designed for
deep cycle application"?
He had a rather interesting, but not surprising answer.
"You can get the amps but the life sucks."
(IOW, the number of discharge cycles is rather low)
"You get a much better solution using 6 VDC units designed for deep cycle
application".
