I bought an O-ring kit from (I believe) Graingers several years ago, and so
far every ring I have had to replace has been makable from the kit. It is a
matter of cutting stock to length and then gluing it together, so it may not
be a long-term fix for most applications - I do the repair using the kit,
then order fresh rings when time permits.
McMaster-Carr sells o-ring material in just about every compound, many of
them which will last practically forever, just be sure to get a compatible
glue (which, by Murphy's law, will just finish drying out in the tube when
you need it.
