    I asked about this and was told not to worry about it. We have our
    name on the stern and on both sides of the bow, so the dink (on
    davits) only obscures the name on the stern a little, and not the
    hailing port or the names on the bow.

    I investigated this last year. The painter would not do the painting
    unless the boat was hauled. The boats previous name and hailing port
    were on in vinyl and apparently had been there for some time. I did a
    web search, and found a web site where they will do graphics etc for
    you, and have explicit directions for applying the vinyl letters.
    Unfortunately I lost the link when the motherboard on my computer went
    last spring.
