Gene: You are right about Home Depot having a lesser quality of most
everything. I'm in the plumbing buisness and heard of how they do it. They
buy in mega lots and make an agreement with the manufacturer that the
product is made on the graveyard shift and Home Depot takes all of the
product with out inspection by quality control. That is the reason for
Home Depots take it back policy because most happy homeowners either don't
know of the defect or live with it. Thus Home Depot may only have a small
percentage of items returned. When my customers ask me to install something
from Home Depot I advise them that I won't guarantee the installation and if
the product dosn't operate properly they have to pay me for the time it
takes to uninstall it.
