The two that stand out are the Heart monitor/inverter/echo charger system
or the Ample Power Energy Monitor/Controller II and Isolator Eliminator
with a statpower inverter. I am especially interested in info on the Ample
Power systems if anyone has had experience with these systems and how well
they keep your batteries...

David,
I have a Trace SW2512 and I like it very much. It is a sine wave, 2,500
watt, 12volt, microprocessor controlled, inverter/charger with adjustable
parameters and sells for about $2000. I installed a "E-Meter" right in the
case of the inverter.
