There is an aluminum solder available at most hardware stores. If you have
or can borrow a small torch (propane preferred) appropriate for the place
where you will be working, you can use a stainless wire brush to clean the
area bright, then heat the injury with the torch until it will melt the
solder. No flux required. If the system has not been open long, you may be
able to just flush it with freon and then fill it. I got it to work that way
in my car back before freon 12 was illegal. Worked fine for many years.
