    Rick,
    We have a 406 EPIRB because the 121.5/243.0 models can be hard to pinpoint.
    We feel that once you get away from coastal waters you're pretty much on
    your own and it's better not to be lulled into thinking any device will save
    the day. Keep the water out of the boat and the mast in as the saying goes.
