Unless you are going to be in San francisco for an extended period of time
I'd leave the boat where it is. There is not going to be much liveaboard
space around the city. South San Francisco used to have slips but now that
Brisbane kicked out all the liveboards I wouldn't count on that. Also, the
weather in South San Francisco really sucks. South Beach would be OK but
they are really strict about liveaboards. If you don't mind a commute from
the East Bay you can find a slip here in Alameda where the weather is better
but unless you can commute on public transportation you'll tire of the
lengthy car commute.
