Actually an 406mhz epirb with built in gps is 900. Hoewever the
Magellean gsc-100 is also 900. It sends email thru a number of
satelites. It also is a full featured gps and can be powered via solar
panel on liferaft.
1. When you are in liferaft send pre-authored help message with an
automatic gps locatioin.
2. When rescue progresses you are able to update your
location(drifting) and conditions.
3. Prior to sinking, it is a good way to send and receive email from
boat at sea Monthly cost is 29
