I am forwarding my response to a post I received about the death of
Tristan Jones. If anyone has leads about the items I cite in the text, I would
    appreciate it.

Thanks very much for the reply. I did not know that Mr. Jones was a
double amputee. I am saddened by his death. There is so much that we could have
asked of him and so much we could have learned to apply in our sailing. At least
    we still have his books.

Do you know who has "Outward Bound" or his log books? The log books, if
published by someone, would be of much value to all. If you can provide any
contacts in the Far East-- it was Phuket where I last read of him landing in the
book "Somewheres East of Suez"-- I will contact them to see what happened to his
log books. I will try to contact his publisher for the above book and see if
they have any info. I have one Far East contact in Malaysia, which will probably
not be of use in this instance.

If I can locate the log books, and get permission to do so, I will edit
and publish them for the internet sailing community, and any others in the
sailing community who may be interested in them. There must be thousands of
lessons of dangers to avoid that would be outlined in the log books.
