Re: lv-ab: No power to Lofrans Tigres

OK! With offline and online answers, I'm ready to test. Since no controls
work, to include the plug-in handheld unit, I'm going straight (well,
multiple contortions in the chain locker) to the controller which probably
contains two relays. I have a heavy piece of cable with which to jumper the
positive posts AFTER I check all the connections. I can't rely upon George
(my Golden retriever) to tell me which way the chain is going, assuming that
the controller is the problem. So, if I get ignition, I'll ask a dockmate to
shout at me as to direction - my new Rocna lies on the dock.

I hope that it isn't the windlass as the installer had difficulty fitting
the casing over the motor. Maybe that's a clue.

I know that the batteries are good as I'm living on them (3 x 8D AGM
installed in Spring 2004) and they flush the toilet, etc.

I'll go forward and upside down with a VOM, contact cleaner, pliers, and the
wire jumper. I'll try to see the underside of the foot switches to see if
they are corroded. Where did I put my miner's lamp?

Thank you all,
Ron
