RE: lv-ab: EPIRB
I mounted my auto release EPIRB on a half inch board with the white plastic
clamps that can easily be closed and opened. It mounts on two stern rails
for quick release on long sailing adventures and stows below when in port.

I have the #2744 - The same EPIRB but without the auto-release
bracket. I could not identify a place on my boat to mount it where I
could be confident it would float free and where it would not be
subject to damage from normal traffic. I mounted the EPIRB just next
to the companionway.
