Thanks for the tip Ron! I called NW Creek Marina and very long is certainly correct.
What is Washington,NC like with respect to slip vacancies? I have not ever been there.

NW Creek Marina has a very long waiting list. Sheraton has raised their rates and they are hard to get a commitment from. Bridgepoint will most likely be able to make a long term forecast, but, they often have vacancies.
Over 600 new slips are planned over the next three years for both sides of the Neuse. They are slated to be built in Bridgeton (VIC Route 17) and on the opposite bank near the New Bern Historic District. HOWEVER, the permit process is arduous and other variables could delay these projects. One of the projects is by Jupiter Corporation which is a Florida outfit that has gone through all this many times in the past.

Hi Everyone,
My wife and I have an offer in on an IP35 in the Beaufort,NC area and the survey is on monday. The boat is in the Core Creek Marina yard and should everything go well on Monday, we will be leaving the boat on the hard there for the winter.
While I am in the area Sunday & Monday I am going to be visiting some marinas in the area looking for a place to dock the boat next summer. Can anyone on this list reccommend any marinas in the area? Ieva & I will be living aboard next summer and exploring the area and getting to know the boat.
Some people on the IP list have suggested the Northwest Creek Marina, but I am open to any other locations.
